UPDATE: Shooting victim arrives at hospital
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police were unable to locate the crime scene after a third shooting occurred in Chattanooga on Tuesday just before 6pm.
CPD says the victim gave multiple locations of where the shooting occurred.
Chattanooga Police identified the victim as Ruben Williams, age 20, and say that he is a validated gang member.
According to Chattanooga Police, he told investigators he was walking down a street when he was shot and then took a cab to the hospital.
Police say he suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg, which is considered non-life-threatening.
CPD says the victim described the suspect as wearing a black hoodie.
The Violent Crimes Bureau is actively investigating and asks anyone with information to call 423-698-2525.

According to 911 dispatch, a gunshot victim arrived at a local hospital.
Dispatch also says that police are on the scene in the 1800 block of Wilcox Blvd trying to locate the crime scene.
