Signal Mountain couple accused of assaulting an 80-year old woman
SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tennessee(WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a woman accused of causing bodily harm to her 80-year old mother.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News 12, back on April 11 of this year, an 80-year old woman was admitted to Alexian Village for rehab of a broken hip and fractures shoulder.
The victim told numerous people that her son-in-law Jesse Conner, 57, and her daughter Lisa Conner, 49, pushed her down which caused her to sustain injuries.
According to investigators, the shoulder injuries the woman sustained was consistent with force being applied to the victim. The investigator noted in his report that a typical elderly person who falls will fracture the hip but not the shoulder.
Nine days after the victim was admitted into Alexian Village, a witness reportedly overheard Lisa Conner make threats to the victim which reportedly caused the victim to suffer mental anguish.
A warrant was issued for Lisa Conner’s arrest and she was booked into the Hamilton County jail on one count of willful abuse or neglect of an impaired adult.
Lisa’s husband, Jesse was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault.
Both husband and wife are scheduled to appear in court on June 7th.
Hamilton County Court records show that back in 1986, Jesse Conner was convicted of assaulting a police officer.
