Suit Giveaway Ongoing at Salvation Army
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Over the next two days, the local Salvation Army will be giving away professional clothing to those in need.
The event is open to the public and will serve anyone who needs a suit for a job interview.
Those looking to shop the event can visit the Salvation Army’s shelter between 10 a.m. and noon, or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to find their next suit.
Giorgio’s Men’s Warehouse donated more than 300 suits to help those who might not have had professional clothing for a job interview.
Captain James Sullivan of the Salvation Army said, “Sometimes the better you look in a suit, it opens the door to opportunities faster than someone who is just walking off the streets dressed any type of way. I hate to say it like that but that’s how the world operates. The suits that have been donated from the community to us being able to this drive, everything is pretty much new.”
