TBI investigates officer involved fatal shooting in Henderson County

REAGAN, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into a fatal shooting in West Tennessee involving two law enforcement officers.

It happened around 11PM at a home in Henderson County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a man beating on the door of a home.

TBI investigators say they recognized the suspect as having outstanding warrants.

They say they ordered him to surrender, but he fought them.

One deputy was slammed to the ground.

Investigators say as the fight escalated, one of the deputies fired on Darrion Barnhill.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
