TBI report on Domestic Violence
NASHVILLE (WDEF) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is releasing a couple of reports on Monday.
One involves the latest stats on domestic violence in Tennessee.
It includes crimes reported from 2013-15 by law enforcement agencies through the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System (TIBRS).
Most are Simple Assault cases, 68% of them.
The numbers also show you are six times more likely to be abused by a Spouse than an ex-Spouse.
The second TBI report found the number of attacks on law enforcement officers in Tennessee climbed slightly last year.
1,757 victims were reported in 2015, an increase of 1%.
One officer was killed in the line of duty last year.
The most common attack was Simple Assault, 56.6 of the crimes.
