TDFN: Ooltewah at Tyner

Tennessee Valley (WDEF) — Tyner Academy has never shied away from playing the big boys.

Friday night, the Class 2-A Rams kicked off the new year against a Class 6-A team in Ooltewah.

It’s one thing to play a 6-A school, but it’s a whole other story to compete with one.

Early on, Ooltewah got a big chunk of yards on this run by Joseph Norwood.

He stepped out of bounds, or else that was a touchdown.

Owls move it to the goal line.

Tylan Cargle drags a man into the end zone to put Ooltewah on the board first.

The Rams finally get that big bomb down the field when Jaylen Bowens connects with Jeremiah Batiste. But they’re unable to capitalize with points.

Just to spice things up.

We’re not showing the Ooltewah touchdown, only the two point conversion.

Kyrell Sanford with the conversion pass for Ooltewah.

That made it 14-0 Owls.

Next Owls possession, and Sanford is in trouble.

James Parks breaks through and sacks him for a safety putting the Rams on the board with a defensive score: Owls 14-2.

Final Score – Owls win it 55-9.
