TECH BYTE: Apps for Halloween Music, Movies
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Halloween is almost here! And tech can help you get into the spooky spirit.
Bring your Halloween spirit with you wherever you go with the Halloween Ringtones for iPhone app.
Use it to make a spooky song, or a witch’s cackle for your ringtone, text tone, or even your alarm clock.
If you’re planning to have a Halloween party, or you just want to scare some trick-or-treaters, you’ll want to download the Scary Sounds & Noises app for some more Halloween themed sound effects.
There are more than 40 “hair raising” and “scary” ones to choose from – from screams and monsters, to eerie music.
Creepy music isn’t the only thing that’ll get you ready for Halloween.
Some scary movies should do the trick!
The Shudder: Horror & Thrillers app from AMC Networks has countless horror movies for you to choose from.
And yes, it also has TV series, and originals.
You can try out the Shudder app for free for a week, and get unlimited access to a full library of those scary films and shows without ads.
Disney+ is another great app to have to watch Halloween movies.
Unlike Shudder, these movies are more family friendly, and “not so scary.”
It does require a subscription to watch, but you’ll also have access to plenty of other Disney movies and TV shows – something to keep you entertained anytime of the year.
Freeform TV is continuing its 31 Nights of Halloween, which you can also access on the corresponding app.
Several family friendly Halloween movies will be shown each day through the end of October.
You can access all of the classics like Hocus Pocus, The Addams Family, and Ghostbusters.
If you want to see a schedule of the movies airing during the 31 Nights of Halloween, go to freeform.com/schedule.
