TECH BYTE: Tech for Tracking MLB Playoffs

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Major League Baseball playoffs are now underway.

Whether your team is part of the American or National league, technology makes it easy to keep up with your favorite team, even if you’re not in front of a TV!

If you don’t have cable, don’t worry! You don’t need it to catch all of the Major League Baseball playoff games leading up to the World Series.

Just subscribe to a streaming service to watch on your phone or computer instead.

The MLB app is definitely one to download if you’re a baseball fan. There are some free features, but you’ll have to pay monthly or year round fees to watch your favorite teams play live.

Why wait around for highlights, when you can watch as it’s happening?

If you’d rather use another service, you’ll have access to the playoff games if you subscribe to Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, or Sling TV. You can watch using their apps, as well.

If you’re in your car or at work, and want to keep up with a game, Sirius XM users can tune in on the MLB Network Radio.

If you’re lucky enough to actually attend a game in person, make sure to download the MLB Ballpark app.

You can use it to access your tickets, and navigate an interactive map with a directory of the food, drink, and merchandise areas at the ballpark.

TBS is airing the National League games.

Fox and Fox Sports 1 will cover the American League games.

The World Series will air on Fox.
