The Best Hotel in Chattanooga According to AAA
And Chattanooga’s The Mayor’s Mansion Inn is one of them.
The Bed and Breakfast occupies the Fortwood home of former Chattanooga Mayor Edward G. Watkins.
He built it from the Union Army redoubt after the Civil War.
The Mayor’s Mansion Inn features 5 rooms, 6 suites, a library, dining room and ballroom.
It returns this year as Chattanooga’s only 4 Diamond hotel on the list.
So how does the city stack up to other Tennessee communities?
Memphis has four of the 12 top hotels while Nashville has 3.
The Tri-cities boast two on the list, Gatlinburg has one, but Knoxville proper, was shutout.
The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville is the only 5 Diamond hotel in the state.
“More than just maps and roadside assistance, AAA’s travel offerings include online Tourbooks, reservations and reviews, said Joy Dixon, AAA – The Auto Club Group, Tennessee Regional Travel Director. “AAA is the only organization whose ratings include evaluations by full-time, professionally trained inspectors. Our inspectors conduct unannounced, yearly visits in order to receive an authentic guest experience.
AAA reviews more than 28,000 hotels every year to make their list.
