Vacant house fire on East 32nd Street

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) –  The Chattanooga Fire Department was called to a house fire on East 32nd Street Tuesday morning.

According to fire officials, heavy smoke could be seen from the second floor of the structure.

The fire department says the house had been divided into two apartment units that appeared to be vacant.

Chattanooga Fire Battalion Chief Chris Willmore says firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire to the second floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
