Volkswagen raising wages at Chattanooga plant

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Volkswagen Chattanooga is raising its minimum wage to $16.

At an employee meeting today, Volkswagen Chattanooga announced a 50 cent base wage increase for all Volkswagen production team members.

New hires will begin at $16 with a top-out of $23 and 50 cents.

And they will be able to qualify for $17 an hour after six months.

The pay increase goes into effect July 1st.
