Vols Butch Jones and Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson Both Remain Coy About Starting Quarterback
Neither Tennessee or Georgia Tech has announced their starting quarterback ahead of their season opener Monday night in Atlanta.
And no matter how hard the media tried, the Vols Butch Jones and the Yellow Jackets Paul Johnson remained coy about their man under center.
Reporter:”Let’s talk about the quarterback position. How confident you are. Also maybe splitting time with guys might that be an option.”
Said Johnson:”Well, I’m confident we are going to have one.”
Reporter:”Is it frustrating for you when Georgia Tech comes out and says yeah, we’ve got four co-starters right now, and at the same time, do you hope to get an advantage yourself not naming one.”
Said Jones:”No I think through video study and everything that goes into it, we have a pretty good idea who the quarterback will be for us. and we have a pretty good idea of who the quarterback will be for them as well.”
Said Johnson:”Our guys know who is going to play, and I probably know who is going to play. I might send it out on twitter here in a day or two, who knows.”
