Vols Coaching Search Turns to Purdue’s Jeff Brohm

After Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy turned down the Vols coaching job on Tuesday, Tennessee turned their attention to Purdue coach Jeff Brohm.
For awhile it appeared UT had landed their man.
There were reports that a deal had been reached with Brohm.
But apparently that was not true.
Brohm was out recruiting Wedneday
Purdue commit Ben Davis texted Brohm to ask if he was leaving, and Brohm responded by saying those reports are false.
Brohm is 6-6 in his first season with Purdue, but prior to going to the Boilermakers, Brohm was 30-10 in three seasons at Western Kentucky.
With Brohm apparently out of the picture at Tennessee, it’s reported that North Carolina State head coach Dave Doeren has emerged as a possible candidate for the UT job.
