Vols Hope to Correct Defensive Mistakes During Bowl Workouts

Tennessee hopes all of the extra practice time for the Music City Bowl against Nebraska will help them shore up a leaky defense.
The Vols imploded down the stretch, especially their rush defense.
UT is now 111th in the nation against the run, and they surrendered an average of 39 points over their final three games.
Said defensive back Todd Kelly, Jr:”I think a month gives us a lot of time just to improve. We know what our weaknesses and strengths are. With that being said, we are going to go to the film room and figure it out even more. Break it down and see what went wrong this season. Sometimes you are going to make mistakes, but you can’t make mistakes over and over again. So whatever those were, we’re going to try to correct them during this bowl prep and before this game.”
