Water back on at Eastside Utility but it’s not all pretty

OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) The Eastside Utility district reports that water has been restored for customers following the water line leak.

But you may still find discolored water at your house.

If so, flush your lines to clear the water.

The Utility says it is safe to drink now, regardless of color, because of chlorine in the system.

The color comes from sediment in the lines, which they are flushing now.

They expect everything to be back to normal by Wednesday.

On Monday, all 20,000 plus customers in Eastern Hamilton County had either no water, low pressure or muddy water.
