Woman charged in death of man in Bledsoe County

PIKEVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – A woman is charged in the death of a man whose body was found in a barrel in Bledsoe County.

Thomas Rogers, 30, disappeared last week. His family last saw him on April 17. His mother then reported him missing to the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Jimmy Morris says Rogers’ body was found in a barrel Tuesday afternoon near Big Springs Gap Road and Valley View Road, in the northern end of the county.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

According to Sheriff Morris, NaKayla Sullivan, 25, was charged with criminal homicide. He says Rogers was last seen with her.

Two other people were taken into custody and questioned. Sheriff Morris says their names are not being released because they have not been charged with anything yet.

The TBI is also investigating the case.
