Woman sentenced for fraud of elderly clients

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – A Lenoir City woman has been sentenced for defrauding elderly victims.

39 year old Christina Erin Myers was convicted of wire fraud and money laundering in 2019.

On Thursday, she was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison and ordered to pay back $400,000 to her victims.

Myers admitted she touted seniors communities and investments that didn’t really exist to her clients and then kept the money.

Victims thought they were buying land from Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes.

Her case was investigated by Lenoir City Police, the THP and the IRS.
