Youth and Family Development celebrates Spring Break with inaugural All Star Game

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Youth and Family Development is celebrating Spring Break 2018 this week.

Wednesday was the inaugural YFD All Star Game.

It included the 3-point shootout, dunking contest and a tournament coached by Mayor Andy Berke.

“It’s spring break, so each of our centers have something unique that they’re doing and this was just the first event that we’ve had that, we bring all the centers together,” says Chattanooga Youth and Family Development P.R. Director Kinnawa Kaitibi.

Kids from the ages of 9 to 13 from recreation centers all over the city participated in the event.
