Burn ban lifted in Marion, McMinn, Polk, Coffee counties

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — While the burn ban in still in effect for Hamilton County, Governor Haslam has lifted the burn ban in some of the area counties to help dispose of debris left behind by last week’s tornadoes.

The burn ban has been lifted in Marion, McMinn, Polk, and Coffee counties according to the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.

The burn ban remains in effect for 47 other counties in eastern Tennessee due to the ongoing drought.
