Bus driver found with bottles of liquor after DUI bust with kids onboard

LOGANVILLE, Georgia (WDEF) – A Georgia school system has fired a driver charged with DUI while operating a school bus.

Carole Etheridge was arrested Monday after a field sobriety test on the grounds of Loganville Middle School.

There were 31 students on her bus at the time.

One student told their parent that something was wrong with her.

They contacted the school, school officials called the police.

Officers say they found a large bottle of tequila in her purse, along with four smaller bottles of vodka and four more bottles of prescription pills.

WSB-TV reports that Etheridge was fired from Gwinnett County schools in January.

She has been charged with DUI and multiple counts of endangering a child.

Loganisville is east of Atlanta in Walton County.
