Convicted murderer Tony Bigoms asks for new trial

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) –     A convicted Chattanooga murderer asked for a new trial Monday.
    Tony Bigoms asked Judge Barry Steelman for a new trial.
    Court officials say the motion is under advisement.
    And Bigoms will be back in court October 12th.
    Bigoms was convicted for killing and dismembering Dana Wilkes in 2012.
    She was a 48-year-old dialysis worker in Chattanooga.
    He’s serving a life sentence for the murder plus four years for abuse of a corpse.
