Dalton Police Look For Catalytic Converter Thieves

Dalton Police need your help to identify suspects who stole catalytic converters out of several parked cars.
The thieves struck two parking lots on Hamilton Street Saturday night.
They have two surveillance photos from one of thefts.
One picture shows the white, 4 door car (possibly a Dodge) they used.
The other shows a suspect who got out of the car.
You cannot see his face, but he is a large male wearing a gray or white hooded sweatshirt.
The first incident happened at the Providence parking lot around 3:30 AM.
Three vehicles there had their converters cut out.
The same night, someone cut through the fence at Babb’s Auto Service.
The owner didn’t think anything was taken, until he heard about the Providence thefts.
He then found the converter was cut out of a Ford Excursion on his lot.
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to please contact Detective Greg Bates at 706-278-9085, dial 9 and enter extension 137.
