Do The Right Thing Volunteer Call: Day of Caring

Chattanooga (WDEF) We have a big Volunteer Call this week for the National Day of Service on September 11th.

Our local United Way is holding their Day of Caring on Thursday, September 10th.

They need business leaders, campaign coordinators, nonprofit partners and volunteers from across the area.

The goal is to mobilize more than 700 of them for 47 different projects.

If your church or organization would like to take part, call Association Volunteer Director Anna Baker at 423-752-0316 or go to iHelp.

You can work on Thursday or on projects that go longer.

Here is the place to find the jobs and to register for Chattanooga’s Day of Caring.

Each month, we give out the Do The Right Thing award to a volunteer in our area.

Go to our Do The Right Thing page here at to meet our latest winner and find out how to nominate someone.
