House fire on Taylor Street injures family dog
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to Taylor Street in Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters say they arrived to find a single story house with flames and smoke showing on three sides.
According to Chattanooga Fire officials, the fire was under control in just over an hour.
The Chattanooga Fire Department says no one was home at the time of the fire but a family dog was injured. The dog was taken to McKamey Animal Center for treatment and shelter.
Officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation; the loss is estimated at $35,000.
