Meigs County mourning loss of graduating senior in a wreck

RICEVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – Meigs County High is mourning the loss of one of their graduating seniors who was killed in an auto wreck on Thursday.

It happened on County road 100 in McMinn County around five in the morning.

Troopers say the young woman was driving an F-150 when she lost control in a curve and hit a tree.

Morgan Pritchett was an award winning member of the high school archery team.

The team posted this tribute on their Facebook page:

‘‘It’s days like today that weigh heavy on our hearts. One of our senior archers Morgan was involved in an accident this morning and didn’t make it. It’s hard to come up with words with which to express our sorrow at the loss of such a beautiful soul. Morgan was so full of life and joy that it was contagious and you just couldn’t help but smile and laugh when you were around her. Our thoughts and prayers are with our team, our school, our county, but especially her family during this tragedy.”
