First Responders Recognized at Erlanger

Not guilty. That's the verdict in the homicide trial involving a local tugboat captain. Charles Luetke was accused of killing two fishermen in 2010 when his barge collided with a fishing boat. Governor Bill Haslam Makes Good On Tennessee Promise

Hamilton County parents tell us they're excited about the Tennessee Promise. The bill was signed into law this week. Starting in 2015, all graduating high school seniors in Tennessee will be given two free years of community college. Family Speaks About Donnie Brantley's Dismissed Murder Charge

We're learning more about why a murder charge was dropped against a Bradley County man earlier this week. Five years ago, Marsha Brantley disappeared. Authorities believe her husband, Donnie Brantley, killed her, but her body has not turned up. The case was supposed to go to trial this week, but Marsha's family members essentially called it off. WDEF News 12's Alisha Searl spoke to them Wednesday afternoon.

Murder Charge Dismissed in Donnie Brantley Case

A Bradley County murder trial ends before it even starts. As of Monday morning, the charges against Donnie Brantley have been dismissed. He was accused of murdering his wife Marsha in 2009, but her body was never found. Neighbors reported her missing. Last August, Brantley was indicted, and this week his trial was supposed to start. But, as News 12's Alisha Searl found out, there was conflict among the district attorney's office that prevented the case from being prosecuted.
