Overnight shooting in Chattanooga sends 5 people to the hospital
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting that sent 5 people to the hospital.
Police say just before 3 am Sunday morning they responded to reports of multiple people shot on Cowart Street.
They found five victims and multiple shell casings in a parking lot on Cowart St.
Kevin Parks, Kandice Parks, Keosha Strickland, Te Shayla Yearby and Austin Burns were shot.
All of the shooting victims were transported to a local hospital either by Hamilton County EMS or personally opened vehicles.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to the scene.
All victims are reported to have non-life threatening injuries at this time.
Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident.
