TDFN: Baylor at CCS

Tennessee Valley (WDEF) — After losing their season opener to McCallie, Chattanooga Christian has reeled off five straight wins.

But extending that winning streak tonight wouldn’t be easy, as the Chargers faced another one of the Division two big boy schools in Baylor.

Chargers get the ball first, but they went three-and-out.. looks like CCS was going to get Baylor on a three-and-out on the first series too.

3rd and 18, but Lorenzo White hits Clay Thames and the Red Raiders pick up the first down.

White to pass again on the rollout, it appears he’s going to be taken down. He brakes that tackle cuts across the field and the makes a heck of a run. Its 7 – 0, Baylor.

White’s run must have inspired teammate Mike Benning. On the next series Benning breaks the tackle just like White, and he’s going to add another impressive touchdown run.

Benning goes 48 yards for the touchdown that makes it 14 – 0.

Now CCS moves the football. They are in Baylor territory, but Roderick Young fumbles.

Jalen Baker eventually scoops it up for Baylor. He flashes and speed down the sideline. Baker goes all the way 55 yards to make it 21-0 with 2 seconds left in the 1st quarter.

In the end, Baylor wins 42-8.
