TDFN: Knox Catholic at Soddy Daisy

Tennessee Valley (WDEF) – Knox Catholic may want to move to the Chattanooga area given their success this season so far in the Tennessee Valley.

Well the Trojans weren’t just going to let Knox Catholic waltz in and make themselves at home…

Soddy came out firing on the first play. Gavin Chambers put the pressure on the Irish secondary as he hooked up with Beau Blaylock. That catch put the Trojans deep in Irish territory.

Setting up, they give the ball to Brandon Davis as he found all the space he needed to walk into the endzone and put Soddy up, 7 to nothing.

The Trojans had the Irish stunned. Knox even went for it on 4th down and couldn’t get the snap right.

Soddy Daisy took advantage of the mistake and snapped it right to Ty Boeck so he could pound home another touchdown putting the Trojans up 14 to nothing.

The Irish are on the ropes at this point, and its only the first quarter.

Trojans took advantage of that mistake and went for what could have been the knock out blow. Chambers found Blaylock tight roping the sideline, putting Soddy up 21 to nothing, but Knox Catholic rebounded and went on to win 49-48.
