Vehicle runs into creek

Another vehicle lands in a creek for the second time in three days.

An employee from Audubon Acres saw a white SUV go through the gate, but didn’t stop to register.

When the car didn’t surface, they investigated.

That’s when they realized the vehicle went into the South Chickamauga creek.

When they approached the SUV, they realized the driver was still in the drivers seat.

The vehicle was sitting upright and was partially submerged.

When firefighters arrive at the scene the employee and the driver were walking towards the visitors center.

HCEMS transported the driver to the nearby hospital.

Chattanooga Fire Battalion Chief, Rick Boatwright says that he’s not sure if there was some type of medical emergency or from where the individual was in the water being cold temperatures as it is.”

The drivers condition is still unknown.

Ten personnel from HCEMS, Chattanooga Police and Fire all responded to the scene.
